Signature series 👌, I tend to buy all black knives. This knife was expensive, I upgraded it to my main carry. I'm multicraft and do not, not, not, take it easy on my knives curious to see edge retention and the black finish durability. I ran an ultra tech for 2.5 year then switched to heretic manticore x elmax recurve blade for the last 2 years. Excited to see if the new ultra tech can hang . ZBP I hope can with stand beer and wet environments. Perfect size love the updated clip, similar to my heretic. I use my knife for everything, soow cord , boxes , zip ties, conveyor belts , hoses, rope, plastic, canvas , fiber. Time will tell. Hehe
I misplaced an Ultratech I purchased in 2016, so I bought two Signature Series ZBP Shadow Ultratechs one S/E DLC Standard, one T/E DLC Partial Serrated and a ZBP T/E Stonewash Standard LEO. Probably not how most people would handle that.
I received great customer service from Seth S. on the two Signature Series purchases and bought the LEO directly from the website with GovID for the veteran discount.
All three knives function perfectly with amazing fit & finish. They deploy and return home with rapidly. The button is stiff I believe to act as a safety and also because of the dual spring system. I love it. The Signature Series knives were inspected by “VC” and this model was inspected by “VS” unless “VC” had a sloppy pen day. They have created a YouTube video on how to care for and service your knife. The proprietary screw have been replaced with torx bit screws. The Zero Blade play is the real deal. These knives lock up tighter than most folders.
If you have any issues out of the box or after use, reach out to customer service. Explain the issue, if out of the box, provide the inspectors initials, so they can speak to the inspector, possibly update their training or improve their processes. If the issue is down the road they will walk you through it. The video says several times they won’t send you lost parts you have to send the knife in, so make sure if you attempt a service you are in a super sterile environment so you don’t lose anything. They know what is expected at this price point, and they will make it right.
Purchased QTY (2) Ultratech 1121-1DLCTSH. Both knives fail to deploy OTF ~40% of the time necessitating resets. Resetting, per instructions, fails often necessitating repeated attempts. You solicited my review; I provided you an objective one.
