For an automatic knife this is a beast.
The blade is sweet and fits like a glove. You can really get a grip on this knife.
This is a beautiful tool.
I have over 20 folding blades from Benchmade, Boker, Kershaw, Gerber, Smith and Wesson, and the Microtech Socom Elite falls below the expectations I had based on the reputation of the brand name. While my OTF Microtech blades are second to none, the balance of this knife seems drastically off. The hollow plastic handle feels too light weight and cheap. As the blade is released with the push button, the knife feels unsteady as the blade stops and locks, to the point where you have to make sure you have a strong grip on the handle. The blade is fantastic and extremely sharp. If the knife were better balanced it would get a 5/5.
