I have carried auto knives my entire adult life as a full-time firefighter to a corporate asshat and they have performed everytime I needed it!! Whether that was cutting a seatbelt away from someone stuck in a vehicle or opening my Amazon boxes, or having it on a dive! I used to be a Benchmade guy until one day I made the change and bought my wife an OTF Microtech in pink and I saw and felt the quality of their knives! I then ordered the Auto SOCOM ELITE SE for myself, and NEVER went back to any other brand! It is lighter and IMHO opens better than any other auto I have owned! My ONLY "issue" with Microtech is that they do NOT have a tip up carry option in the SOCOM ELITE (I am a lefty) and so I sent my knife off and had it modified by a weapons expert and that sadly voided my warranty! So when I needed a spring replaced, it was not covered under warranty and they would NOT work on it! Luckily, I was able to obtain an actual replacement spring (thank you brother) and my almost 10 year old knife is back in the fight and has at least 10 more years of heavy use, aka opening Amazon boxes 🤣🤣
