Handle too narrow near tip

I dislike tip down carry, so I drilled/tapped holes for tip up carry on mine.
I found that with tip up pocket carry the tip of the blade could catch my
pants and my finger. There is enough space around the tip of the blade that
when closed, your finger or many other things can get to it. This happened to
my finger twice and my pants a few times. I also found the detent in closed
position was somewhat weak and the blade a bit open in my pocket twice.
I disassembled the knife and drilled/tapped a #3-48 screw in each interior side
of the handle to add material close to the tip. While it was apart I bent the
liner lock out some to strengthen the closed detent.
