This is the second SOCOM-Elite knife I have purchased. The reason being I was so Impressed with the first, I no longer wish to carry my Benchmades or Gerber 06s. It is so hard to find a quality folding automatic with a glass breaker. Not that I have a reason to use glass breakers often, but it is a feature that I want in case of an emergency situation. The rounded design of the breaker on the SOCOM elite is vastly superior to that of my Benchmades a Gerber. The action on this knife is also so much more reliable in dirty or extreme cold situations. The second you push that button you can immediately tell it has much more power and speed than any other top quality brand. The blade is also immediately noticeable of being much thicker and better designed than competitors. You will never break this blade. If Randall (RMK) made an automatic folder I image it would be extremely similar to this knife and that is the best endorsement I can think of! Also excellent customer service much better than Benchmade.
