The MSI, or Microtech Standard Issue, is the latest in our collection of manual folders. Designed for heavy-duty use, this piece combines utility and style. The blade is made of M390MK Steel, which was produced especially for Microtech, and the handle features a RAM-LOK Bar Lock and our Iconic X Button on both sides. The black high strength polymer handle contains hardened steel liner plates, which gives the knife its rigidity. Complete with a titanium backspacer and reversible pocket clip for left-hand carry.

I purchased this one for a gift. The blade material is great. The hardware material is great. The polymer grips are very durable. I am now hunting for some aftermarket scales to put in the package as part of the present. The cool thing is I’m giving a very nice knife in the first place. I’m also giving them a little project that they can embark on an ultimately a custom knife. And not only that a custom microtech.. it’s a really great gift all around.
