I love these knives no doubt. The operation, the clean feel in the hand and the balance in the hand. I have a few Microtech blades with the UTX-85 D/E and the Dirac Delta being the 2 I carry every single day. I just received the Dirac Delta the other day and perfection perfected of course but I do have 1 single complaint. My UTX-85 sliced my finger the very 1st time I opened the box. 4 stitches and was my fault for having a finger near the OTF. The Dirac Delta arrived and was expecting the same sharpness (without stitches this time) but was let down. Its sharp, but not shave hair sharp.
Its ok though, blade holds an edge very well so will spend a few hours getting it where it needs to be but I am still lost as to why the sharpness has fallen for new knives last couple years. I think Microtech needs to look at the process before shipping and make some adjustments to get back to where they used to be. Still a 5 star knife!
