The Dirac is our first dual action knife with a cover firing slider. We designed an updated ergonomic chassis with curved lines similar to the HALO for a slightly different feel compared to other handles. We researched this particular OTF design and applied our signature ultra-high tolerance Microtech features such as proprietary hardware, innovative internal mechanism, and glass breaker. With an overall length of 7.25 inches, the Dirac is just right for an everyday knife.

It's amazing. Perfect size for EDC for me. Sharp as heck. Minimal blade play for an OTF. Only thing I sometimes wish for is single instead of dual edged blade, so I could apply pressure to cut in certain circumstances. Top notch really.
Beware, customer service and returns need significant improvement. We needed a last minute gift and since my husband loves his microtech we thought it would be good for a friend. Payed extra for 2 day shipping and didn't get it for 6 days. Microtech basically told us it wasn't their problem to talk to UPS, but they didn't even get it to UPS for several days. Since we didn't get it in time we were going to return it but they charge an astronomical 18% RESTOCKING FEE and for their knife prices that's wild . Warranty repairs also take 10+ weeks as we also learned recently. Save yourself the headache and buy something else.
