The Dirac is our first dual action knife with a cover firing slider. We designed an updated ergonomic chassis with curved lines similar to the HALO for a slightly different feel compared to other handles. We researched this particular OTF design and applied our signature ultra-high tolerance Microtech features such as proprietary hardware, innovative internal mechanism, and glass breaker. With an overall length of 7.25 inches, the Dirac is just right for an everyday knife.
- Overall Length: 7.25”
- Blade Length: 2.875”
- Weight: 2.30oz
- Knife Type: Double-Action OTF
- Country of Origin: USA

I’d wanted Microtech Dirac OTF for years! Finally purchased Dirac is a truly gorgeous & sexy knife. Dagger shaped OTF blade, sleek aluminum handle, ‘tight’ button action. Unfortunately, due to previously broken thumbs, it’s VERY difficult for me to actually activate the blade, in or out or the handle. Seriously bummed, but I absolutely understand the need for the activation to be hard/tight, otherwise could potentially lead to unfortunate injury. Overall, beautiful knife anyone could be proud to add to their collection, that I’m sure excels @ self-defense as well.
Received the knife from a dealer, and in less than an hour after shaking the knife from side to side, the internals jammed up causing the blade to lock extended. Now I'll have to figure out how to ship the thing without endangering all who may have to handle the package in route to the factory.
