Since its inception, the Microtech Combat Troodon has been a favorite amongst Law Enforcement, United States Armed Forces, and First Responder Service Personnel. Our most popular hard-use OTF has been redesigned to set a new standard for utilitarian, heavy-duty automatic knives. The latest Combat Troodon sees the introduction of our new dual fuel drivetrain system, allowing for effortless deployment in critical situations and user-friendly disassembly. The enhanced button pocket design minimizes friction and facilitates effective debris displacement, reducing the need for frequent maintenance and cleaning. The jimping and grooves on the body allow for exceptional grip, and the new titanium pocket clip with ceramic detent ensures security and accessibility. Stunning and absolutely beautiful! Far frommy first Microtech, the bowie style on the Combat Troodon is every bit as impressive as I envisioned it! My only request would be a similar production on the Scarab. As a LONG, long time Microholic, every new addition to the collection adds unique application that no other knife can accomplish! The next blade on my sights is the SOCOM ram-lock!
If you can get past the prices. A great knife so far. Only been carrying it since April 2 2026. Have used it to cut into food packages (opening pizzas and cutting vent slits for Mac ‘n cheese) and opening a box with an electric razor inside. I carry it at work too in case I need it to cut into something. I was in some very heavy rain with it (10-15 minutes) and I’m glad that the very heavy rain didn’t make the mechanism sluggish. Overall a great knife so far. Thanks, Microtech!
