Since its inception, the Microtech Combat Troodon has been a favorite amongst Law Enforcement, United States Armed Forces, and First Responder Service Personnel. Our most popular hard-use OTF has been redesigned to set a new standard for utilitarian, heavy-duty automatic knives. The latest Combat Troodon sees the introduction of our new dual fuel drivetrain system, allowing for effortless deployment in critical situations and user-friendly disassembly. The enhanced button pocket design minimizes friction and facilitates effective debris displacement, reducing the need for frequent maintenance and cleaning. The jimping and grooves on the body allow for exceptional grip, and the new titanium pocket clip with ceramic detent ensures security and accessibility. The Combat Troodon combines all the benefits of an automatic knife with Microtech’s legendary reliability, making it the perfect choice for any duty carry.

I was a traveling field service Engineer Ex Army Vet who installed a Tsugami in Fletcher about 3 years ago.
I was taking My time to make cables look uniform bc on the machine and notice a stranger (tony) watching me.
He asked why I was taking the extra time to make them look so neat. I at the time thought he was a employee not the owner lol. Replied I like my work to stand out.
He then said what do you think about MicroTec and I replied I wouldn't know bc the knife I want isnt available and I only pay for what I want.
He replied, what is the knife.
Only one answer. Boba Fett Combat Trodoon!
He nods and walks away. The next day he walks up to me and says is this the knife you cant ever find? And there it was. A first Gen Boba!
Meant a lot to me and it currently back in Fletcher NC getting sharpened and clean for free by their team after 3 years of daily use on my bounty hunts without fail. 9/24/26
Thanks Tony!
Fan for life.
