What an awesome knife! I was reading a book (a post apocalyptic serial novela type thing) that reference Microtech as a great maker of knives. I had not heard of them. I got on the website to check them out and found the Merlot Amphibian on there and decided I needed it. I was not disappointed! Very hefty and sharp right out of the box. You can just tell it is premium quality. I will definitely buy another Microtech. The book if anyone cares is like book 11 in the Borrowed World Series by Franklin Horton. Not what I would consider a classic but it has pushed me to think about the world a little different. And I love gear.

I love this knife! I have about 20 knives, Chris Reeves, microtech, bench made, other custom knives. All of them way too fancy for every day carry. I decided on this one for my everyday carry, and it is really a great knife.
