The new Microtech LUDT evokes the classic UDT style with revolutionary updates to the form and function of its predecessor. The new LUDT looks and feels familiar while incorporating quite a few innovative changes. This iteration of our powerful automatic folder sees the return of inlays, providing optimal grip. The new LUDT rides on 24 silica carbide bearings, providing the smoothest action yet. Common Torx screws allow for ease of maintenance and the tip-up carry clip gives users security and quick access to this sturdy, water-resistant folder.

I have owned 2 other LUDT over the past 17 years. I first learned about them from a neighbor who was a diver for drilling companies in the gulf. He had bought one for himself and he came over and told me all about it. I then bought my self-one even though I'm not a diver.
As auto production knives go it is top of the line. Nothing fancy about them just a banger and a worker. Great grip, solid lock up, deploys quick w/ a thunk, and comes razor sharp. This version is lighter in your pocket while maintaining all those other qualities and looks even nicer than any of the other 2 I owned. I own plenty other Microtech knives and Pro-tech knives, and they both are my go-to knives b/c I like autos. I still carry the mac daddy of Microtech Knives the DOC. from time to time. It is the Chopper of all knives. I have never understood the nonsense of sum trying to bash Microtech products. Going by Quality and Craftsmanship and use ability find someone doing it better. PRICING YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET!!! THE ZBP ULTRATECH AT THE PRICE POINT THEY SELL IT AT IS THE BEST BARGAIN GOING IN THE KNIFE INDUSTRY!!!! Nobody paid me for my review I'm just a regular customer that likes quality products. I just bought a new house and once I sell my old house I am looking forward to buying the new chef and cooking cutlery. If you spend whatever it is 1300-1400 and never have to buy another kitchen knife in your lifetime that's a no brainer also. MICROTECH, YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS DONE MAKE QUALITY PRODUCTS AND I WILL CONTINUE TO BE A CUSTOMER.
MTK is knocking it out of the park. I have an extensive knife collection and I actually use em, including some high end well known brands, and my LUDT, Combat Troodon, and Socom Elite are among my faves. My LUDT rides in my pocket almost every day. It's light, fast, fit and finish are spot on, and 390MK is excellent steel. The tip is pokey without being brittle and the thin edge lite sabers through material. Microtech is a bit pricey but worth it. Buy once and you won't have to cry at all. Keep up great work. Thanks
Great qaulity and value and thanks for the military law enforcement discount makes it even better microtech Customer and previous dealer for 25 plus years.
Short sweet and to the point. Wonderful knife. Feels good in the hand. Great deployment. Very light. Once again, I’m another satisfied buyer and I own 5 of there knife's. My life could literally depend on a knife and I wouldn’t trust anyone but this company!!!
Amazing knife and a great upgrade to the previous version. Really appreciate their military support program.
