The new Microtech LUDT evokes the classic UDT style with revolutionary updates to the form and function of its predecessor. The new LUDT looks and feels familiar while incorporating quite a few innovative changes. This iteration of our powerful automatic folder sees the return of inlays, providing optimal grip. The new LUDT rides on 24 silica carbide bearings, providing the smoothest action yet. Common Torx screws allow for ease of maintenance and the tip-up carry clip gives users security and quick access to this sturdy, water-resistant folder.

I have owned my LUDT S/E Gen 3 Tactical Partial Serrated now for several months now and it has become my go to DAILY EDC Blade. I probably own to many knives according to my wife but I always have one on me all day everyday and the LUDT Gen 3 is the REAL DEAL! The knife is perfectly balanced and the blade shape allows the user to be able to do all sorts of tasks that might require a bigger blade. I own several other Microtech knives in my collection that include Auto SOCOM Elite, Combat Troodon, Delta Dirac and Ultratechs along with my LUDT and I normally will grab the LUDT first and then grab either a Combat Troodon or Delta Dirac. I use the LUDT as a utility knife for all sorts of daily tasks. I really like the Strong Deployment Spring used in the LUDT because I know that when the BUTTON is Pressed that Blade is coming out with AUTHORITY! That is one thing that has turn me off to other folding knives from Benchmade and Gerber that start strong but in a few weeks of use the spring goes LIMP but that has not happen with the LUDT! I am also EXTREMELY happy with the placement of the Clip which allows the knife to be carried Tip Up which is something I wish that Microtech would change on the SOCOM Elite. Hey Microtech if you are Listening PLEASE Revise the SOCOM ELITE and have the Clip to allow the blade to be carried Tip Up like you guys did with the SOCOM Bravo which I purchased one when they first came one and was able to get one with the Signature on the Box. If you did it with SOCOM Bravo PLEASE do it to the SOCOM ELITE! Pretty Please!
Everything up need…nothing you don’t!. This knife has to be the most quality dense knife I have ever used. Sharp, smooth strong and ergonomically correct. Punches way above its weight
