We believe that when you purchase a Microtech knife, you have bought the best. Our talented associates work hard to ensure that the quality of every knife surpasses your expectations. We stand behind the first-class materials, quality craftsmanship and durability of our knives.
Microtech Knives proudly and confidently extends a Lifetime Limited Warranty against any defects in materials or workmanship. We expect you to use the knife. We made it with that in mind.
The lifetime of the components and materials could have some limitations. When submitting knife for warranty service we will evaluate the return based on several factors including but not limited to – availability of parts and whether or not a model is still in active production or if parts to the model is still available. Some components have a natural expiration since all materials degrade over time with use and exposure to the elements. A product’s lifetime is a function of how much use it gets and how well it is cared for and not how old it is.
We understand that some customers may prefer to maintain their own knives. The warranty will remain in effect so long as the blade is not improperly sharpened and the handle is not damaged or stripped due to disassembly, determined at our discretion. If you void your warranty, parts and services may still be available for purchase based on availability.
Do not sharpen knife if you are not completely sure on the above statement or if you feel the warranty could be compromised.

All shipping to Microtech Knives® Warranty Department must be pre-paid. Microtech Knives® cannot be held liable for lost in-bound packages.
RETURN authorization FORM
First, ensure that your knife is in fact broken. It may just need cleaning/ troubleshooting.
Most of our O.T.F. knives are equipped with a fail-safe mechanism that prevents the blade from locking into place if it comes in contact with anything before being fully deployed. If this happens, your blade will slide loose along the track. To fix this, hold the body firmly with one hand. With the other hand, pinch the blade between your thumb and index finger; firmly pull the blade into its fully deployed position. The blade should lock into place. You may then use the firing button as normal.
In some cases, dirt and/or debris may prevent the knife from firing correctly. We suggest you consult our Maintenance page for instructions on how to clean and care for your knife. If after cleaning, your knife still does not function properly, you may need to send it in for repair.
After cleaning, if you find that your knife still does not function properly, it may need to be sent in for repair. In some cases, the repairs will be covered under the Lifetime Limited Warranty. In the event that the repairs are not covered under warranty, there may be additional costs associated with repairing your knife. If repairs are needed requiring additional charges, you will be contacted by a representative from our Warranty & Repair Department.
Please complete and submit the Return Authorization form below. Once we receive your completed Return Authorization Form, you will receive an email including your Return Authorization Number (RA Number). You will need to include this number with your knife to be repaired. Failure to follow this procedure may delay repair time or cause your knife to become lost in transition. Please include any additional notes you’d like to mention. Additionally, please be aware that certain restrictions apply when shipping automatic knives.
