The Microtech Hera Mini sets a higher standard for the perfect blend of aesthetic and utility that was introduced by the original Hera. Smaller than its predecessor, the Hera Mini maintains the distinguishable streamlined design of the original with dramatic improvements. Internal screws allow for a sleek, clean chassis with a redesigned 6AL4V pocket clip and glass breaker that make it our most ergonomic Hera yet. The ultra-smooth action of the reengineered dual fuel drivetrain allows for effortless deployment, and the innovative button pocket design reduces friction and facilitates debris displacement. The size and practicality of the Hera Mini combined with its updated style and functionality make this the perfect addition to your everyday carry.

The action is so smooth you’ll never get tired of operating this OTF. It’s a perfect size for my wife to carry daily. It fits well with anything she wears, and she enjoys carrying this knife daily. The quality of this knife is great.
Light in weight. Excellent shape and size blade for EDC. Smooth and comfortable to use action. A minimalist style. A very nice pocket clip. Not the knife for cardboard boxes, but the one you might carry the most. If you dont flash the action, will fit in many environments.
Not really a fan of the apocalyptic finish. I appreciate your company, the knives it makes and your willingness to discount your excellent products for first responders, and military. Is there any chance you might offer a Spartan blade on the Hera and Ultratech in the future?
Great little edc knife. Sharp and ready to use. Definitely a nice blade to carry when wearing athletic shorts. Super lightweight.
The Hera II Mini is the perfect size for an EDC knife in my opinion. The overall length retracted and the blade length are comparable to the Spyderco Delica 4, which is my fave EDC knife. The best part of the Hera II Mini is the firing action. It is SUPER easy to fire and retract, even less effort required than the Kershaw Livewire. There's very little deadspace/play in the button as well. The M390MK blade came sharp out of the box and using a microscope I observed the factory grind is very smooth and consistent unlike the Kershaw Livewire which came with uneven beveling. The Hera II Mini also features standard torx fasteners so it is easier to maintain without special tools. I felt the UTX-70 is too small and I had firing issues, and the Ultratech is bigger but it is too big as an EDC in my opinion. In my book, an EDC should be something you can use for most tasks but able to put in a pocket without weighing too much or taking up space. The Livewire and Ultratech are acceptable sizes but are slightly too large.
