The Microtech Cypher II features a Bohler M390MK double edged blade with an apocalyptic finish and a black anodized aluminum handle.
The X-button thumb slide opens the blade and closes it with the double-spring dual fuel drivetrain which delivers amazingly smooth action. Extra milling in the thumb slide cut-out creates a spot for lint and other debris to break apart which delivers reliable action. This Crud Kutter makes your knife more reliable and smoother regardless of the environment.
The handle has hidden fasteners leaving only the pocket clip/lanyard hole visible. The knife also has a glass breaker and a reversible titanium pocket clip with a silica carbide ball

Overall feel and build is nice. The blade action coming out is not as strong as I hoped and seems to be a bit stronger retracting. The blade was sharpened nicely and well made, totally satisfied with that aspect. The thumb slide has a bit more side to side play than expected and the machining can be a bit ruff on the thumb after repeated use. All minor things in the grand scheme of things but for the price point I expected a touch better. Overall happy with the knife but unsure if I’d buy another, will need more time to decide.
