After an exhilarating week at IWA Outdoor Classics 2025, we could not be more excited about the experience. Returning to this incredible event for the second time since our debut in 2019, Microtech Knives was proud to showcase our latest innovations to a global audience of outdoor and tactical gear enthusiasts. At Microtech, we believe in creating tools that combine precision engineering with impeccable craftsmanship. This year, we were thrilled to reconnect with longtime customers, partners, and new friends who stopped by our stand to experience our knives firsthand. The excitement and positive feedback we received truly reinforced the passion that the global knife community shares for innovation and performance.

Highlighting the Best of Microtech Knives

IWA 2025 was the perfect opportunity to showcase some of our most popular and cutting-edge models. The knives we brought to the show represent the heart of Microtech’s commitment to quality and advancement in design.

MSI RAM-LOK®

One of the stars of our stand this year was the MSI RAM-LOK®. With a sleek 3.85-inch blade and an overall length of 8.9 inches, this knife caught the attention of tactical enthusiasts and collectors alike. Featuring the innovative RAM-LOK® mechanism, it offers a secure and reliable locking system, ensuring the blade stays firmly in place during use. The choice of M390MK® blade steel and multiple handle material options, including polymer, carbon fiber, G10, and aluminum, made this knife both versatile and durable. At just 4.7 ounces, the MSI RAM-LOK® packs exceptional performance into a lightweight, functional design that had everyone talking.

Amphibian RAM-LOK®

The Amphibian RAM-LOK® also made a strong impression, boasting a 3.9-inch blade and a total length of 9.25 inches. Weighing 5.9 ounces, this knife is built for those who demand robustness and dependability. Its durable construction and the reliable RAM-LOK® locking system are perfect for outdoor professionals who need a tool they can count on. The Amphibian’s clean, efficient design makes it a standout in any collection.

Socom Elite Manual®

For those who appreciate classic military-grade knives, the Socom Elite Manual® stole the spotlight. With its 4-inch blade, 9.2-inch overall length, and a weight of 5.4 ounces, this knife offers perfect balance and precision. The handle, made from 6061-T6 aluminum with 3M traction inserts, ensures a firm grip even in the harshest conditions. The RAM-LOK® mechanism guarantees that this knife is not only functional but also built to withstand the most demanding situations.

Stitch RAM-LOK®

Lastly, the Stitch RAM-LOK® was a hit with tactical professionals and outdoor adventurers. With a 3.75-inch blade and a total length of 8.5 inches, this model is perfect for anyone who needs a reliable tool with a rugged design. The G10 handle material offers a solid grip, and the M390MK® steel blade ensures excellent cutting power. At 6.3 ounces, the Stitch RAM-LOK® is both lightweight and highly durable—ideal for those who need performance and portability.

Adapting to German Knife Regulations

This year, we also had the chance to discuss the evolving knife laws in Germany. The German Weapons Act, especially § 42a, places restrictions on carrying fixed knives with blades longer than 12 cm unless there’s a legitimate need, such as for professional use. This shift in regulations has made it increasingly important for knife makers to design products that balance legal compliance with performance. At Microtech, we are committed to creating knives that meet the diverse needs of our customers, and our models—like the MSI RAM-LOK® and Stitch RAM-LOK®—are designed with these considerations in mind.

While smaller knives under 12 cm remain permissible, many outdoor professionals and hobbyists are seeking knives that comply with the regulations without sacrificing functionality. We are proud to offer versatile solutions that cater to these needs while still delivering the high-quality craftsmanship Microtech is known for.

Looking Toward the Future

The next IWA Outdoor Classics will be held from February 26 to March 1, 2026, and we are excited to return with even more innovations to showcase. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of design, functionality, and precision, and we cannot wait to share what we have been working on in the year ahead.

To everyone who stopped by our booth at IWA 2025—thank you for your support and enthusiasm. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with such a passionate community and are elated to continue sharing our innovations with you. Until next year, stay sharp, never compromise and keep pushing the limits of what is possible with Microtech Knives.
